About Borrie

We exist to make expert children’s health guidance accessible, practical, and genuinely helpful for every family.

Our story

Borrie began in 2017 when a small group of pediatricians, dietitians, and child psychologists in Austin, Texas noticed the same pattern: parents were overwhelmed by conflicting online advice and short clinic visits that left too many questions unanswered.

We set out to create a different kind of support system — one that combines clinical expertise with real-world practicality. Today we serve families in 48 states through telehealth, workshops, and a growing library of free resources.

The name “Borrie” comes from an old family nickname meaning “little protector.” It reminds us every day of our purpose: to help parents protect and nurture the health of the children they love.

What guides us

Four principles shape every recommendation, article, and conversation we have.

🔬

Evidence first

We base guidance on current pediatric research and clinical best practices, not trends or opinions.

🤝

Partnership, not lectures

Parents know their children best. We offer tools and perspective; you make the decisions that fit your family.

⏱️

Respect for real life

Advice that only works in perfect conditions is not useful. We focus on what is realistic for busy households.
